Most people don't know this part of what I deliver.

After every strategic brand session, my clients get access to a brand portal. It isn't just a place where your photos live. It's a marketing tool.

It walks you through where to update your images across every platform. It gives specific suggestions for which photos from your gallery to use, and where. And it includes 20 content ideas you can pull from and reuse month after month, long after your session is done.

I built it because handing someone a gallery and saying good luck was never the goal.

If you've ever felt stuck on what to post, or unsure whether you're actually using your brand photos in the right places, the portal is designed to close that gap.

It's included automatically in every strategic brand session I book.

Past client who've never seen what this looks like? Reach out, I'm happy to walk you through it.

The kids are back in school.

If you’re a small business owner who has also been running the household all summer, I see you. That shift in September is real. The mental bandwidth that opens up when the schedule gets structured again is not nothing.

If you’ve been telling yourself you’d focus on the business once things settle down, this is your settle down moment.

Even if it’s just one thing. One piece of your marketing you’ve been putting off. One image swap on your website. One decision you’ve been sitting on because summer just kept moving.

The fall window is shorter than it feels. Use it.

These are my favorite kind of notifications to open up!

There's nothing quite like opening my phone to a message from a client who just got their images and had to tell me right away. All caps. Exclamation points. "I love them." "These are amazing." "I can't wait to share them with the world." Those moments remind me exactly why this work matters.

Those moments remind me exactly why this work matters.

Brand photography is supposed to do something for people, not just sit in a folder looking pretty. It's meant to show up for your business, build trust with the right clients, and reflect the work you've poured everything into.

When I get messages like these, I know that happened.

If you've been wondering what it feels like to have images that actually work for your business, this is it.

Swipe through and see what I mean.

If you're a small business owner with a product or service launch coming up, a Modern Headshot Session might be exactly what you need to walk into it ready!

Modern Headshot sessions are 30 minutes in length, perfect for bringing a few tools of the trade to showcase what you offer.

They'll be taking place on October 5th at my studio in Downs.... guidance on where to use them once you have them, built to solve exactly this kind of moment: a new offer, an update to your website, or visuals that haven't caught up to where your business is now!

October 5th. Happy to answer questions here or by message. (Link in the comments to schedule)

Most businesses come to me thinking they need headshots.

I take that seriously. But I also start asking questions, because what someone says they need in that first conversation is almost always just the surface. Underneath it is the story they haven't figured out how to tell yet, or the placeholders sitting empty (with stock images) on their website.

A project I did with Holt Supply is a good example. They came in wanting headshots. Once we talked through the goals, it became clear what they really wanted was to show people their showroom was open, beautiful, and worth walking into.

So we built the shoot around that. Associates working alongside clients through the design process. The fixtures, the tile work, the details that made the space extraordinary. What it actually feels like to be there.

That's what brand photography is supposed to do. Pretty photos don't convert on their own. Strategy does.

The images that grow your business are the ones built around what your ideal client needs to see and feel before they say yes, not just what you happened to look good in on the day of the shoot.

If your current photos aren't doing that work, that's worth paying attention to.

Some things just deserve to be said out loud.

You don't have to have it all figured out. You don't need a huge budget or a perfectly polished brand before you show up. You just need images that are working as hard as you are.

That's what strategic brand photography is actually about. Not pretty photos for the sake of pretty photos, but visuals that tell the right story to the right people, in all the right places.

If any of these slides made you nod, you're probably closer to ready than you think.Which one felt the most like you? Drop it in the comments, I'd love to know.

Phoenix Kleiboeker TVHS '27

Phoenix is easygoing, funny, and just a joy to be around... the kind of session where the laughs come easy and the photos end up feeling exactly like her. We started at a location full of flowers for a soft, light feel, then moved to the lake for a second look where a wooden cross let us bring in her faith, along with her Bible and an American flag.

Every detail was chosen to tell her story, not just mark a milestone!

Congratulations, Phoenix... I can't wait to see how your Senior year unfolds!

August looked a little like this.

I photographed the YouthBuild graduation and sat in a room full of people who worked incredibly hard to get there.

I documented a Grove 2000 workshop built around recovering from trauma, quiet, important work that deserves to be seen.

I attended Chamber events and a Soloprenuer resource group that keeps reminding me why community isn't optional in business.

I photographed a local company that won its category in the Pantagraph's Best Of contest! --> not pictured, still waiting for publication ;)

Spent a Sunday evening at church capturing a patio baptism celebration.

Beautiful Senior Sessions... (which are SOLD OUT at this time, reminder to book early)

Recored a TV interview on marketing strategy for brand photography sessions for business looking to update product, services and outdated digital marketing content!

In between all of that, my zinnias and dahlias are blooming. I've been cutting them and sharing them around our community to brighten people's day!

And yes, sent the kids back to school with our traditional First Day of School breakfast... this year I harvested fresh raspberries from the garden for the danish :)

This is what showing up actually looks like. Not just behind a camera. In the places that matter, with the people who are building something alongside you.

I'm grateful to be in this community, and to have a business that not only let's me capture it, but lets me document it too!

Before you know it, October will be here.

And if you have a product launching at the end of October, a new service coming in November, holiday promotions, or even a website update on your calendar, now is a the time to look at the content you’ll need to support it!

Because the best time to photograph that content usually isn’t when you’re already in launch mode.

It’s before.

A brand session can give you the photos you need for your website, emails, social media, sales pages, and launch content, all planned around what you’re actually working toward.

So take a look at your calendar.

What’s coming up that you’ll want people to see?

If you know someone who has a launch, new service, or big project coming up and could use help planning the photography and marketing content around it, send them my way.
