Let’s go BEHIND THD LENS!
Since I spend the majority of my time photographing the world in front of the camera, I’d like to go behind the lens for a moment to say hello!
I’ve always believed that some of the most extraordinary moments in life happen when we slow down, step outside, and experience the world around us. Growing up in Boston, my favorite memories were playing outside, camping, and enjoying nature.
I am a professional wedding and event photographer, and during the pandemic, events came to a halt. I was itching to get behind the camera and to start taking photos, so I started hiking the Belle Isle Marsh in East Boston in 2021, capturing distant and blurry photos of birds and wildlife. After upgrading my equipment and taking the leap into wildlife photography, I discovered all kinds of bird species across the city and along the various nature trails in Massachusetts that I never knew existed; and I loved every minute of it!
I started connecting with photographers, attending seminars, joining birding clubs, and traveling on wildlife expeditions. I’ve photographed wildlife across the United States, in Canada, Costa Rica, and in various European cities-Barcelona, Venice, & and Rome, to name a few.
In 2024 I teamed up with my friend, and incredible watercolor artist, Chelsea to create our business Wildlife and Watercolors. We sell our photos and art across New England at various community events, artisan fairs, and galleries, while connecting with artists & local businesses along the way.
Photography has taught me to explore, slow down, connect with nature, and share my passions of the natural world. It has given me the opportunity to lose track of time, and the trail, to discover something new. I’ve also embraced the idea that ALL weather is good weather for birding, even in the snow.
Wildlife Boston is a reflection of my passion, and I look forward to connecting and sharing these experiences with all of you.
Time to sign off and get outside!
