We have such a good time with Kalisa. Not only is she absolutely awesome at what she does, but she’s super fun to hang out with!

The developer called this space the “flex room.” While we typically use it as our office, it has come in very handy this week as a hair salon and an art studio. What will it be next???

One of the highlights of my time back in St. Louis was taking photos of these cuties! Grateful to have captured both of them in these two shots because the bee tolerance differed greatly between them. Guess which one REALLY doesn’t like bees?! 🐝🐝🐝

Dancers are amazingly strong and dedicated!💕

The sun in this photo might convince you that was nice and warm during this shoot...and that would NOT be true!

A shoot in the cold has to keep moving. We make adjustments in technique. We try different expressions. We shift for the light. And then we move on to the next shot...with the dancer bundled up in a fluffy blanket!

Brooklyn was a champ! She was willing to try things that weren’t 100% comfortable (some worked, some didn’t). She did it “one more time”...many times! And she did it all with a sweet smile and a great attitude! Thanks Brooklyn! 💕

Finding focus...📷

I love to walk around downtown Wilmington with my camera, and just see what I see.

Sometimes something abstract catches my eye. This bike rack drew me in until I was lying on the ground to capture it. I wish I had a face at the other end of the spiral...maybe next time...

Have you missed me? 😉

It’s been a while since I’ve felt the motivation to post here. So let me re-introduce myself...

I’m Leigh-Anne, and I am a photographer for creatives. This photo shows a lot of the little things that bring me happiness:

1) I love being near the water! (That’s the Intercoastal Waterway behind me.)
2) I mostly stick to neutrals in my clothing...with an occasional pop of teal or aqua.
3) I’m a sucker for anything with a fleur de lis...especially the New Orleans Saints. WHO DAT!!!⚜️⚜️⚜️
4) I love fringe! (You can see it hanging from my purse...that’s what convinced me I had to have it!)
5) My favorite pair of sunglasses! I have quite a few, but right now, these are my go-tos! I’m starting to think I could have a sunglass problem!

One final thing...I wear this necklace a lot! I got it in a Finnish shop in Astoria, OR. It says “sisu” on it. No one has ever asked me what it means, but if you’d like to know...sisu means “strength...perseverance in a task that for some may seem crazy to undertake, almost hopeless.” (definition is from a bbc.com article) I think the literal translation is “guts.” 💕

This amazing boss babe is celebrating one year in business today!!! 🎉

You can help her celebrate at the Wrightsville Beach Farmers Market from 8:00 this morning until 1:00 this afternoon!!! You can’t miss her bright, beautiful aqua blue truck! And, you can’t go wrong with any handcrafted drink she prepares! If you haven’t met Arie yet, and haven’t tasted her coffee drinks with scrumptious house-made syrups, there is not better day than today! Cheers! ✨ ☕️ 🥂
