Outfit stress is real. And every couple asks me about this before their session. Skip the matching outfits and go for coordinating ones instead. Think colors that work well together, not the exact same shirt in four sizes. Neutral tones with a pop of color photograph beautifully. Avoid logos and busy patterns. Most importantly, wear something that feels like you.

The difference between a good photo and one that stops you mid-scroll? Usually, it's this.

Light is the whole thing. It's not just about whether it's bright outside; it's about the direction it's coming from, the time of day, the way it wraps around your face or catches your hand holding theirs. I think about light before I think about anything else at a session, and it's honestly what separates a photo that's fine from one that makes you feel something.
