The work is loud. The mornings are early, the inbox is full, the calendar is color-coded into oblivion. From the outside it probably looks like I’m doing too much and from the inside it sometimes does too.
But the reason is quiet. It’s this hour, on this swing, with these three and the fact that nobody had to ask permission for it. Not a boss, not a schedule, not a someday version of my life that was always five years out.
That’s the whole thing. Not the closings, not the bookings, not the launches. Those are just the scaffolding. The life is what gets built inside it and you don’t get to outsource that part to a future version of yourself who finally has time.
