Tug/barge Dirk S. VanEnkevort/Michigan Trader departed Superior this morning for Silver Bay but returned with a change of orders to load at BNSF, presumably due to an issue at Northshore Mining. As Dirk was mooring at BNSF, M/V Algoma Niagara arrived with oats from Thunder Bay for Elevator M, also in Superior. Tug Kentucky assisted the Niagara. Superior, WI - October 26, 2026

Cement storage boat J.A.W Iglehart is riding high at its dock as the first 1000-footer, M/V Stewart J. Cort, eases past on its ways out of the Twin Ports with ore for Burns Harbor. Tug Kentucky is shadowing the Cort given continuing mechanical issues. Superior, WI - October 24, 2026
