Interested in a basic photography class? Many of you have asked me to teach a class and time has never permitted me to do so. You are in luck though because my friend and fellow photographer Kelly Vann will be teaching a class beginning Thursday. The class will run for 4 weeks on Thursday evenings from 6-8. The cost is $150.00. The class covers the basics of shooting with a digital camera and goes over the various camera modes. She will also cover topics such as lighting and posing and how to take pictures without a flash. If you are interested please contact Kelly at Kelly Sanchez Photography and she can give you more details and get you on the class roster. The cost is $150.00 per student. All you need is a digital camera!!

The second half of my wedding season begins today. I am spending my day in Apex photographing the beautiful Caroline. Today she becomes the wife of the dashing Wesley! I will be making my Fall portrait schedule in the coming weeks. Please contact me beginning Sept. 10th to book a Fall session (family, seniors, newborns, etc).

I loved watching the former soldiers rehash old stories of their time in service. It was a privilege to photograph them paying their respects to a hero. Gen. "Bill" Lee is known as the Father of the U.S. Airborne. FDR authorized Gen. Lee to form the first paratroop platoon in WWII. As a lover of history this was a beautiful service to a well deserved man. In August 1942, Lee was the commander of the newly formed 101st Airborne Division, based at Camp Claiborne, in Louisiana. He told his men, "The 101st has no history, but it has a rendezvous with destiny."

FYI: I am taking part of the Summer off to spend with my 3 boys. In the past year I have been blessed with the most amazing clients. However, that has produced more work than I have been able to efficiently manage while juggling all of my responsibilities. An extended break to soak up all of the precious moments of my boys is essential for me right now. My boys actually think I am still kind of "COOL" most days! LOL! In July, I will not be doing any photography sessions. In August, I will be doing sessions at Wrightsville Beach. If you are interested in a beach session please send me a message to get a schedule of available dates.

Morning engagement session in Raleigh with an amazing couple, Zack & Lea Anna. Now off to Fort Fisher to photograph the beautiful Jillian in her bridal gown. Many miles will be covered, but the results will be worth it all. I shall follow the wisdom of Mr. Joey Tart and "work hard so that I may play hard."
