Here’s a little secret:
The prompt I give you usually isn’t even the photograph I’m waiting for.

I might tell you to do something ridiculous.
You do it.
You both start laughing because it feels dumb.
You make fun of me.
Then you look at each other.
You naturally get a little closer.
And for approximately two seconds, you forget there is a camera six feet away.

THAT.
That’s the picture.

I’m not trying to manufacture a fake candid moment.

I’m trying to give you something to focus on besides:
“Where do I put my hands?”
“Does my face look weird?”
“Are we doing this right?”

You do not have to be naturally amazing in front of the camera.
You just need someone behind it who knows how to get you out of your own head.😅

I had a couple one time where everyone wanted to watch their first look.

The couple wanted it private.

So I *lovingly* shooed everyone away 😂

Because a first look isn’t entertainment for the rest of the wedding party or a moment for family to experience on the side.

It’s not a performance.

For a lot of couples, it’s one of the only quiet moments they’ll get together before the entire day starts moving at 100 miles an hour. Much more it’s also the first moment typically where you can start to feel at ease and comfortable because you’ve got your person next to you finally.

Nerves start to go away and it’s always such a joyful moment.
So if you tell me you want that moment to yourselves, I’m going to help protect it.

Even if that means I have to be the one smiling while asking your moms to stay behind or go inside and let them be. (I’ve done it before and I’ll do it again!)

Sometimes being your photographer means taking the picture.
Sometimes it means making sure you actually get to experience the moment I’m supposed to photograph.

The moment comes first.
The photo comes because of it.

If your fiancé hates taking pictures… congratulations. Those are weirdly some of my favorite people to photograph 😂

Because you do NOT have to walk into your wedding photos knowing how to pose, where to put your hands or how to magically “act natural” while someone points a giant camera at your face.

That would make literally anyone feel weird.

My job is to get you thinking about anything OTHER than the fact that you’re taking pictures.
I’ll talk your ear off.
I’ll ask you questions.
I’ll make terrible jokes.
I’ll probably lightly roast you.
I’ll give you something stupid to do together that makes you laugh for real.

And half the time, I’m already taking pictures while you think we’re just talking.

I don’t need you to perform chemistry for me.

You already like each other enough to get married 😂

I just need to give you enough space to forget about the camera and actually be together.

So if your person has already announced, “I hate pictures,” please tell them I said they’re exactly my type. 💅

One thing I never want my couples to feel?
Like they’re just another wedding on my calendar.

I want to know how you met.
Why you’re choosing that city.
Why your grandma is your favorite person.
Why your dog absolutely has to be part of the ceremony.
What song makes you cry.
What your Sunday mornings look like.

Because when I know those things...
I know what matters.

And those are the moments I’m looking for all day long.

Not Pinterest moments.

Your moments✨

Your wedding photographer doesn’t need a spreadsheet with 300 photos on it.

Family photo list? Absolutely.

Special heirlooms you want documented? Of course.

A note about your grandma’s health so we make sure to prioritize those photos? Please tell me.

But a 14-page Pinterest board of every pose you’ve ever saved and want to recreate? Not necessary.

Here’s why:

The best photos happen when you’re actually living your wedding day - not recreating someone else’s.

My job isn’t to work through a checklist of poses. My job is to pay attention. To notice the way your partner looks at you when you aren’t paying attention. To catch your dad wiping away tears during the ceremony. To document your friends absolutely losing their minds on the dance floor.

The couples who get the most emotional galleries aren’t the ones who planned every photo.

They’re the ones who trusted themselves enough to be present.

If you’ve ever worried, “What if I don’t know how to pose?” - good news. You don’t need to.

You just need to show up in love and obsessed with each other.

I’ll take care of the rest.
Trust = me walking into the hotel room and seeing this wallpaper but you and your bride are on the same page and decide to get soaked in champagne before getting dressed🫡

A great gallery starts with an experience that lets you be fully present. The less you have to think about the camera, the more you can focus on the people you’re celebrating with. That’s what creates photos that actually feel like your day. ✨🎞️🫶

Here’s a little secret…
I don’t include engagement sessions because I think you need more photos.

I include them because I want your wedding day to feel different.

When your wedding rolls around, I don’t want to be a stranger showing up with cameras.
I want to already know how you two interact.

Who makes the first joke.
Who reaches for the other’s hand without thinking.
What makes you laugh so hard you get those little crinkles around your eyes.

And I want you to know me, too.

I want you to realize you don’t have to “be good at pictures.”
You don’t have to wonder where your hands go. You don’t have to worry about looking awkward.

By the end of your engagement session, most couples tell me the exact same thing...
“That was actually really fun.”

So when the wedding day comes?

You’re not wondering if the photos will be awkward.
You’re excited.

And that changes everything. 🫶✨

Imagine this 💡

You’re halfway through your wedding day.
You’re laughing with your best friends.
Your grandma is telling stories at cocktail hour.
Your spouse keeps sneaking glances at you from across the room.

And you haven’t thought about your photographer once.

Not because I’m missing anything.
But because you know I’ve got it.

You’re not wondering if I caught your dad crying.
You’re not worried about family photos.
You’re not thinking about timelines.
You’re just...

✨Living your wedding.✨

That’s what trust feels like.
It’s knowing someone else is paying attention so you don’t have to.

Because your wedding shouldn’t feel like one long photoshoot.
It should feel like the best day of your life. 🫶

One thing you’ll never see on one of my wedding invoices?

A surprise travel fee.

When you book me, whether it’s New York, Italy, California, or a beach somewhere in the Caribbean, I handle every bit of my own travel.

✍🏼Flights.
✍🏼Hotels.
✍🏼Rental cars.
✍🏼The early arrivals so I can scout your location.
✍🏼The backup plans if flights get delayed.

Why?

Because you’re already planning a wedding.

The last thing you need is another vendor emailing you asking which flight they should book or sending another invoice because airfare went up.

I want this process to feel easy.

You shouldn’t have to manage your photographer’s travel on top of everything else you’re juggling.

When I say I want to be a calming presence, that starts long before your wedding day.

Less stress.
No surprise fees.
No hidden costs.

Just show up, marry your favorite person, and let me handle the rest.

So where are we going next?
