The world is still weird and hard, but one of my favorite authors, Shannan Martin, has a practice of gratitude she calls "counting counterweights."

Here are some of mine:
- Social action IRL — on Saturday, I joined some people at our favorite coffee shop to write letters to our government officials. It felt nice to do something tangible!
- Stunning winter sunsets
- Creating for joy

I realized that creating beauty in the midst of chaos is a way for me to practice hope. So in honor of that, I’m booking some portfolio sessions.

Portfolio sessions are free sessions shot entirely on film. Participants will receive all images in exchange for their time and for my rights to use the images in marketing materials.

Guess who’s back?!

Hello, my two months of maternity leave are officially over, and my baby girl is now one month old! I’m both sad and ready to get things rolling!

Not going to lie, social media feels weird right now. Witnessing what is going on in the world is heavy and dark, and posting like normal and pretending nothing else is going on feels fake.

So I’m trying to navigate that while also caring for my family and serving my clients. I won’t do it perfectly. I will fail. But all I can do is try.
