Emerging from my annual winter social media hibernation to post these winter mountain engagements ❄️💍🤍 The snow was incredibly scarce this season but we lucked out with our timing and I love the winter light peeking though the snowy trees.

It’s wild how strong the law of attraction is in photography. I don’t mean “I want to photograph loving, fun, easygoing families” and then I book loving, fun, easygoing families (although I totally do💅🏽). I mean that I have two sets of twins and the number of twin moms that book me is insane. I have a relatively large family and the number of relatively large families that book me is insane. My photography friend who is also an unmedicated childbirth doula books a crazy amount of moms who have unmedicated childbirths, even though her doula account is totally separate and she’s only mentioned it once or twice on her photo account.

I think, deep down, we all want to book photos with someone who gets it. Whatever “it” is, we want someone we can be vulnerable with, someone who has been there and done that. I’m always glad when that someone can be me.

And in case the law of attraction gods are listening: I wouldn’t mind booking someone that tips me 50 million dollars JUST SAYING 😆

Busy season is a lot. I constantly obsess over the weather, I drive around for HOURS checking on the leaves, I cut most non-essential things out of my life for the month, and I ask a lot of Sam and the kids by being away so much.

But tonight I blinked and all my busiest shooting weeks are over. It’s been a really incredible autumn. Lots of gorgeous vibrant leaves (especially in the higher elevations!), a full calendar (and then some!), a few weather scares (remember when it was pouring rain until the minute my mini sessions started?? and also when a wildfire closed one of my most popular locations??) and really fantastic clients (including lots of repeat clients!).

Feeling very grateful I get to live in this beautiful state and interact with so many truly beautiful souls.

Frankly, it’s also fun to see how much money I can make in only one month of work if I just lock in and DO THE THING.

And now I am very ready to be home more, cuddled up in my cozy clothes editing your photos and not caring at all what the weather is doing.

Thank you for being here, supporting me, engaging with my content, booking me, spending your heard-earned dollars on my services, and most of all for trusting me! It truly means the world!

September is the best month of the year. Warm, gorgeous, a tiny bit of chill at night, that new beginning feeling with school and routines back in place, and the produce is unbeatable. 🍑🌽🥦🍎
