Little video I made walking through the Walch Memorial
Wayside at Lost Creek Covered Bridge located in Eagle Point, Oregon. Sorry about the language slip ups (not too bad!) but as I kept walking, I encountered more and more cool historical nuggets. Memorials, antique farm equipment, picnic areas, different flower groupings, antique structures to name a few things you can see. You can probably hear the giddiness in my voice ❤️💯. Take the time to walk around and enjoy the nice family /community vibe.

This is Lost Creek Covered Bridge, it was built around 1881 and is the oldest and shortest covered bridge in Southern Oregon, located near Eagle Point, Oregon. This was my personal favorite stop of the day. Not only was the bridge in good shape, there was obvious signs of care and upkeep. Unfortunately, not all covered bridges and the surrounding areas are treated in this manner. I highly recommend stopping here, having some lunch, and do some walking around. The bridge is only open to foot traffic and has a journal where you can sign the guest registry.

Before more bridges, we take a Nature break. Couple of mother hen turkeys 🦃 with a bunch of little chicks. Don't really understand why my footsteps are so freakin' loud?! You can see the babies burrowing through the grass. Cool stuff!

From Antelope Creek Covered Bridge, the next stop on this trip is Lost Creek Covered Bridge. This was my sentimental favorite out of the 8 bridges I visited this day. Had a little wayside memorial park. It was obviously a point of pride and respect because it was well taken care of and looked after. Really hit me in the feels. Antelope Creek Covered Bridge located in Eagle Point, Oregon. It was built in 1922. Its in pretty good shape with some nice interior lumber work. Seems to be decently taken care of. No real graffiti or damage. Haven't been to this bridge until now. Not a functioning bridge for vehicles, only foot traffic.
