In spring of 2023 I traveled to Southern Florida to Photograph the Everglades. After hearing about an elusive Ghost Orchid I head out on an epic adventure to find this extremely rare and beautiful flower.

In this landscape photography vlog, I am going to explore the breathtaking Valley of the Gods – a beautiful location for landscape photography. Valley of the Gods is an amazing place with really cool rock formations. This land is sacred to the Navajo People. These great rock formations hold the spirits of Navajo Warriors. One afternoon while exploring a canyon I noticed this rock formation from the valley below, I hiked up a nearby butte so I could get a downward angle and see the valley below. I was frustrated by the lack of clouds and almost gave up on this shot. Several minutes after the sunset the colors really started to pop, my patience paid off as I witnessed the desert coming alive just moments before night fell. Fine Art Landscape photography is never easy, but persistence and patience will pay off and lead to Fine Art Nature Prints.

Bear Cubs will stay with their mother for about two years. As the cub gets older it gains survival skills and independence. This cub had gotten distracted with a piece of driftwood, and it's mother was quite a ways ahead. I was hopeful the cub would work its way into my view before the last light of the day faded. Sure enough, the cub finally realized mom was gone and emerged from the grass as he made his way back to the safety of mom.

Watching this Mama Bear and yearling cub was a definite highlight of a trip I took to Lake Clark National Park in Alaska. Most of the time the bears are feeding, resting, or playing and the interactions between mother and cub are heartwarming. On this evening the light was soft and beautiful. The bear and her cub were feeding on lush green sedge grass when something caught their attention. After scanning the horizon, they resumed their playful encounter.
