While I love capturing couples and families, there is something so beautiful about returning to the farm where I used to work and first picked up a camera. Each year that I get invited back to capture the farm crew, I am inspired to see in new and different ways. For some reason this setting is where I feel most comfortable. I slow down and take time to see the work these young people do in a new light and it shows in the way I capture images there. Maybe it’s that I don’t have to direct and just get to document the amazing work that they do or maybe it just feels like home. I’m not sure, but I really loved these shots.

It’s so fun to have families that grow with me every year. This crew has been doing fall family photos with me since I picked up a camera and it is always a fun adventure. M & C remind me of my sister and I so much. They are getting so good posing and make each shoot so fun! I can’t wait to capture their senior photos some day! I also love when families include their pets! Macy is a good old gal and I am so glad she joined us for photos this year!

Working so hard to get all galleries delivered by Thanksgiving so folks can start working on holiday cards. Finishing K&K’s engagement session today and just so in love with some of these images! These two have the best energy and an amazing group of friends who really celebrate their love. A teacher and sustainability professional, this power couple definitely makes the world a better place! I am so grateful when families choose me to capture them year after year. Watching them grow and my photography skills change over time is so rewarding. This family has been with me from the beginning and their photos are some of my favorites every year! Their little guy is going to be the best big brother ever. So excited for their next chapter.

Thank you to all of my families and couples for your patience in getting photos back! I have been a little busy with life stuff and trying to get it all done while not totally freaking out. So…there is a bit more news to share. On 10/25/23, in a small ceremony, at a high alpine lake above one of my favorite , I married my best friend !

To borrow some words from one of my favorite movies - “when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible” ~Harry Burns, When Harry Met Sally

I have so many people to thank for helping to make this special day a reality with just 6 days of preparation.

First , thank you for creating a beautiful upcycled dress in a matter of days! , thank you for the sewing support after I promptly ripped said dress trying it on. thank you for inspiring me to finally finish a drinkering and tinkering project - banners are my thing now!

I can’t say thank you enough to Chuck Straughn for your council and for braving the off-road adventure to marry us! To our family and friends, thank you for understanding our choice to elope and for supporting us!

, thank you for flying across the country to capture our day. You are more than a photographer - you are a florist, a hairdresser, and an awesome new friend. Thank you .ty and for the location scouting and wedding eve hang out!

Thank you and _juniperflowers for the unintentional bouquet making lessons over the years! And finally, thank you and for hosting our wedding dinner and first dance ❤️!

I love you ! While this was not necessarily how we always dreamed our wedding day would be, it turned out to be the perfect way for us to start our next adventure - doing life together as one!

We hope to be able to gather friends and family to celebrate at some point soon, but in the meantime, we are just enjoying the challenges of married life! Apologies for the back to back surprises ☺️.

A few weeks ago, a beautiful reached out and asked me to capture her elopement. I felt nervous and honored that she would trust me with such an important event. As we got closer, I called to check in with her about their plans and really encouraged them to make the day their own. With a little push, they created the most beautiful day filled with harvesting and making their own bouquets, massages, the perfect simple ceremony in a good friends garden followed by champagne and a homemade cake and finally dinner at one of their favorite Aspen restaurants. It was perfect and I was so lucky to be a part of it! Congrats L & A and thank you for choosing me to capture your day.
