Are you born again?

Jesus said Except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. He went on to say that being born again means being born of water and of the Spirit.

How do we know if we are born of the Spirit?

I think about Jeremiah 20:9 below as one significant way we can know if we are indeed born of the Spirit of God. Having a deep burning desire to preach the gospel to those around us, and feeling weary from holding back and not saying anything.

God hasn't called us, for us to just sit back and be quiet about our faith. He called us so that we can be used of Him to reach those who are lost because they are blind to the truth about this world.
He called us to tell those in our circle of influence about who we are supposed to be.
He called us so we can tell others about how we can become what He has always intended from the creation of the world for human kind to be.

If you feel that desire welling up from deep within, that's definitely a sign of being born again. Don't forbear. Let God fill your mouth with His words and speak the truth in love when that fire begins to burn deep down within your spirit.

It could be just what is necessary to bring someone into the Kingdom of God who might not otherwise consider their own position with God, whether they are fighting against God or actually walking with Him!

Genesis 2:25

I've been thinking a lot about this verse lately, and what it means in the context of a godly marriage.

Being naked means being completely exposed, with nothing to hide, and even vulnerable. Full exposure leaves no room for shame.

Husbands and wives are supposed to be totally open and honest with one another. Having anything to hide makes things awkward and uncomfortable.

I've always been one to keep things close to the vest because I haven't always felt safe opening up to anyone. I've even found myself continuing to be closed off and private about some things since getting married due to this insecurity.

Over the years since marrying my wife the Lord has been trying to work on me about being vulnerable and open with my wife about everything. Many times this conviction has come about after my wife manages to pull something out of me, because she can either sense I've been holding something back from her, or the Holy Spirit revealed it to her.

As I continue to walk with the Lord, He continues to do a work in me to make me what and who I am supposed to be in Christ Jesus! With His help I'm learning and growing in the ways of the Lord so I can be who He has always intended me to be, even from my mother's womb!

Praise be to God for His ever faithfulness!

Hebrews 2:15 speaks of those who have a fear of death, who were all their lifetime subject to bo***ge.
Those of whom are described here refers to any who have been in bo***ge to the sin nature. There's a part of every one of us that inherently knows what we ought not do, but we let the carnal, or human nature rule us.
Scripture says that every person has a seed of faith. What we put our faith in dictates how we live these lives we've been given.
By the same token I believe that within ourselves, each and every one of us knows that death is not going to be a good thing because of how we chose to live when we reject the Word of God. This is where the fear of death comes from.

The only escape from the fear of death is by not only accepting the Word of God, but by embracing the Word of God, line upon line, precept upon precept, every jot and every tittle.

Jesus Christ died on an old rugged cross to redeem us from bo***ge to the sin nature, so we could become one with God and spend an eternity with Him who created all things! Where there will be no more pain and suffering, no more tears and no more death! This is not something to fear!

If you haven't already, ask God's mercy and grace to wash over you for the sins on your soul. Thank Him for sending His only begotten Son to die for your sins. Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus was raised from the grave to give you new life! Ask for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to lead you in His righteousness and in His truth!

He's still waiting with ams spread wide to embrace you! Embrace Him today because there's no guarantee that you'll get another chance because it is appointed once unto man to die, and then the judgement!

Instead of judgement, I pray that on that day you will hear the words, Well done my good and faithful servant. Enter thou into the joy of the Lord!

There are those who say that the gifts of the Spirit were only for the apostles in the beginning of the church and that they are not for the believers of today.

This is not so. Just read the following verses from 1 Corinthians:

13.8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
13.9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
13.10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

There are those who believe that verse 10 above means that they are done away with, but I say unto you that they have not been done away with because that which is perfect has not come yet...

The church as a whole has not been perfected, and shall not be perfected until Christ returns for the church. When the Great Taking Up "the rapture" happens we will finally be perfected and then the gifts of the Spirit, which are meant to build up the church and help us to win the lost will no longer be needed.

Until the Lord returns for His spotless bride, the gifts of the Spirit should always be in operation throughout the whole body of Christ. There's only two possibilities as to why they are not in operation within the church today;

1.) The churches that don't see any signs of the gifts in operation have not gone through to the baptism in the Holy Ghost.

2.) Even if they have gone through to the baptism in the Holy Ghost, they are either too carnal to function in the gifts, or they don't believe what Jesus said about the signs that shall follow those who believe...

Mark
16.17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
16.18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

When the Lord Jesus Christ says that these signs shall follow those who believe, He is talking about All Who Believe!

If we're not seeing these signs following us as Christians, we need to ask God to show us why He is not working with us, signs following as He did with the disciples after Christ ascended into heaven.

It's time to become the church that Christ is returning for because we are in the last days and none of us knows the day or the hour of His return. We can't become complacent and trust just every wind of doctrine. If it's in the Word of God, know of a certainty that it is true and righteous all together.

If it contradicts the Word of God, those who have received the baptism in the Holy Ghost will know within themselves to throw it out because God always shows us the truth about everything we read and hear if our ears are open to hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Seek the Lord for the truth and be set free, and find life more abundant in Jesus Christ!

Scriptures say that we are not saved by works, but that we are saved unto good works, which means once one is saved they will be led to do the good works that Christ said we should do.

We are saved by faith in the finished work of the cross, not by anything that we might do. We who are called according to the purpose of God and called by His name will do the will of the Father through the Holy Spirit dwelling within us.

It's not us, but by God working in us and through us, just as He did with the prophets of the old testament and with the apostles and other disciples of Christ in the new testament.

James continues after verse 2:14 below to say that faith without works is dead, being alone. The good works are going to follow for those who believe and are surrendered to the Spirit of God.

Just as with the apostles and other disciples, we will see God working with us, with signs following. Amen 🙌 🙌 🙌

Jesus Christ died on the cross for our salvation, so we could become one with God.
Just as Adam and Eve were before they rejected the Word of God and ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Just as Jesus Christ was when He walked the earth in the flesh, having the fullness of the godhead bodily.

This is what God always intended for human kind from the beginning. God, through the apostle Paul said "I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 2 Corinthians 6:16

In other words His Spirit would inhabit our vessels. He won't force His Spirit upon us, so we have to desire the indwelling of His Spirit. It's only through the indwelling of the Holy Ghost that we receive power from on high to lead truly godly lives.

We can't be who or what God wants us to be without the fullness of the godhead dwelling within these earthen vessels.

Do you want to be who and what God always intended? Do you want a relationship with the God of all creation? Do you want to have the power to lead a truly godly life?

God loves you. God wants to be one with you and wants to give you the power to lead a truly godly life. The sacrifice of Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son was the only way this could happen. That's how much God loves you!

"Every disciple is a Christian, but not every Christian is a disciple." - Paris Ragan

Think about this:

Christ is returning for the church. The church is made up of disciples, not just associates.

We need to ask ourselves if we are a Christian in name only, or actually a disciple?

These things are not a religious belief! It happened and is recorded by history, not only the history of the church, but also the history of the unbelievers...

What happened on Resurrection Day?

After the completion of Passion Week comes the greatest day of them all: the day Jesus victoriously rose from the dead!

Early in the morning, the women went to the tomb to anoint the body of Jesus with their spices and perfumes. However, there was a large earthquake and the stone is rolled away by an angel. The guards are terrified and fall over like dead men. The angel tells the women to go tell the disciples that Jesus is risen.

Jesus appeared to many people that day, including 500 people at the same time. He appeared to Mary Magdalene, Peter and the disciples, along with His brother James and others. He even shows them His hands and His side to prove that He has risen from the dead. Even doubting Thomas falls on his knees and says "My Lord and my God" when seeing this evidence.

Now that Jesus has risen from the dead, we can have salvation in His name. Jesus died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins, and He rose from the dead so that we can live again with Him. As Jesus proclaimed: "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me, though he die, yet shall He live."

The Lord is risen, indeed!

When we accept Christ, we become one with God, through Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God.
The more we abide in Christ, whose name is the Word of God, the more He abides in us and we truly become one in spirit and in truth!
I want to be one with God through Jesus Christ, In Spirit And In Truth!
I want to be freed from the carnal spirit which is in man, and to be fully surrendered to the LORD our God in every way!
I want more of Him! I don't want anything of the old man to remain. I only desire to be what God intended mankind to be from the beginning ...one with Him.
I don't want this world, anything in this world, or any of the ways of this world that can come between God and man.

It's my desire to live for Jesus ... because He died for me and was raised from the grave to give me this opportunity to live for Him! Hallelujah! Praise God 🙌🙌🙌
