How to capture those timelessly intimate wedding photos: ⬇️
•Lighting- natural light all the way! Focusing on only available light sources and using it to your advantage is great for portraits. It’s flattering to the skin and gives people a glowing effect. There’s less equipment needed, and it’s a good option for those camera-shy couples. Heavy lighting equipment can make people feel overwhelmed, which can be reflected in the photos.
•Location- get outside and dance with nature! The natural color tones and wide range of backdrops make for a huge variation in the wedding style and gives the clients and the photographer options. Natural light and color will freshen the photo’s appeal. Play with depth, angles, and shutter speed to get some really unique shots.
•Attitude- the most important ingredient for this recipe! The couple’s energy levels and mood are feeding off each other, and when it’s time for those portraits, your attitude contributes as well. Slow down, take a breather, and focus on capturing the beauty of the couple and their love. I get that wedding photography can seem stressful at times, but remember why you’re there and what you’re there for.
