I finally made it out for sunrise last weekend with some high hopes. The western edge of the cloud bank was forecast to clear the horizon right around sunrise which would have likely created some visual magic. As it worked out, the clouds were either running behind or the sun was early. Maybe next time.

Severe warned storm from near Hayti tonight. This storm had produced multiple tornadoes as it moved across southeast Missouri and briefly through the tip of Arkansas. It really began to struggle as it approached my location south of Hayti.

This planet is pretty fascinating. It's easy to get lost in the bad things this world has to offer, but that would be an injustice to all of the amazing things God gave us.
