If you've ever done a shoot with me, you know that I spend most of the session swooning over every adorable pose, telling you how "beautiful" and "perfect" you and the shot are. Let me just tell you, I truly mean every word. It's not about the shot for me. It's about the way you look at each other, the way you tear up when you see that perfect little human you made, and the more love you show, the sappier I get. Summer mode activated...
What better way to document the innocence of childhood than a creek session? I had the best time watching these girls splash, throw rocks, and giggle at their shoot yesterday. I say it all the time, and can't emphasize it enough... make the shoot an adventure, not a chore. These girls didn't want to get out of the water they were having so much fun!

Clients, and photographers alike, are often far too concerned about the location of sessions, when the focus should really be on the memories, the connections and the love, and if that's all there, that's what really matters. This sweet family's shoot took place in a quiet corner of their beautiful back yard. No fancy architecture, or water features, just the most important things... each other.
