I only had about 45mins to make these images, no mood board, no reference but Tinashe’s energy was so free and liberating. That feeling encouraged me to test the most beautiful b&w film from photodom. NYC with exposed sprockets—I love the beauty in spontaneity and trying new things that just work!

Poetry and photography have always felt like soulmate art forms to me. Both ask you to distill something down to its essence, using framing and exposure to reveal emotional truth. I’ve always been drawn to the feeling of an image speaking a thousand words.
