One of my favorite parts of this work is watching someone arrive feeling a little unsure and leave standing a little taller. Yes, we’re creating headshots. But I want the experience to feel good, too. I want you to laugh, try something new, & feel seen.

Inspiration Series! This month, I’m inspired by the fabulous Olivia Colman.

I love the character shining through in this portrait by Tim Walker for British Vogue. Olivia has always brought something wonderfully unexpected to the roles she takes on, and I love seeing her embrace spaces where there’s no need to fit the usual mold.

As a photographer, I’m always looking for those sides of people too. The personality, quirks, confidence, and little pieces of someone that make a portrait feel like them.

And can we please have more women in their 50s as romantic leads? Absolutely yes. 🙌
