When someone feels rushed, self-conscious, or judged, it shows.
When someone feels relaxed, welcomed, and given time to settle in, everything changes.
The jaw softens.
The shoulders drop.
The eyes brighten.
The real person comes forward.
So much of my work as a photographer has very little to do with pressing the shutter.
It has to do with creating comfort.

You spent years working toward this moment.
Late nights. Papers. Exams. Doubt. Growth.
Now you're updating your resume, building your LinkedIn profile, sending applications, and introducing yourself to people who have never met you.
Your headshot is often the first handshake before the actual handshake.
Let's create images that feel natural and authentic — images that look like the person who worked hard to get here.

If your business is built around you…
Your audience is constantly asking (even subconsciously):
Can I trust this person?
Do I feel connected to them?
Do they feel real?
Your photos answer those questions before you ever say a word.
That’s why brand photography isn’t about perfection.
It’s about presence.

What did your first headshot look like?
Was it a selfie? A cropped group photo? Did a friend take it in your dorm room five minutes before updating your profile?
I love working with graduates who recognize that this moment matters. You're stepping into a new season — applying for your first jobs, building connections, creating opportunities, and introducing yourself to the world.
A great headshot isn't about looking perfect. It's about looking like you — confident, approachable, and ready for what's next.
Your future self may thank you for retiring the graduation-party crop photo. 😉

You don’t need to be photogenic to have beautiful photos.
You need the right environment.
Good light.
Guidance.
Time to relax.
That’s very different. 🤍

“I’m not photogenic.”
I hear this all the time.
And truthfully? Most of us have felt this way at some point.
But after years as a photographer, I don’t believe some people are photogenic and others aren’t.
I believe some people haven’t been given the time.
The right lighting.
Gentle guidance.
Space to relax.
Someone who knows how to truly see them.
So much of photography isn’t about the person in front of the camera.
It’s about the environment being created around them.
I recently saw a quote that said:
If we took a photo of a sunset and it didn’t turn out well, we wouldn’t blame the sunset.
We’d assume we didn’t have the right tools or understanding to capture its beauty.
I think the same is true for people. 🤍
You were never the problem.
