After 21 years and hundreds of weddings, I still get excited for every single one.

No two wedding days are ever the same, and that’s exactly what I love about them. The quiet moments, happy tears, crazy dance floors, unexpected weather, beautiful light and all those little interactions you didn’t even realize were happening.

My goal has always been to tell the whole story—capturing the real moments as they happen while also creating a few artistic portraits you’ll want hanging on your walls.
Here are a few favorite moments that remind me why I still absolutely love what I do!

A few more favorites from Evan & Grace’s unforgettable proposal sail!

From the surprise on the bow to champagne, St. Michaels views and portraits around Epiphany, there were way too many favorites to fit into one post. I especially loved that colorful Code Zero sail as the backdrop for their newly engaged photos!

Such a fun way to turn a birthday getaway into a weekend they’ll never forget.

One of my favorite parts of photography is getting to watch families grow!

I photographed Amber & Jeremy’s wedding in 2018, and then sweet Carlee’s newborn photos five years ago. Now she’s 5 years old and about to start kindergarten!

We met at Easton Point Park for their latest family session, exploring the lawn, wooden bridge and dock along the river. Carlee has the most fun, bubbly personality and absolutely adores her grandparents, who joined us for the evening too!

Grace thought she was planning the perfect birthday getaway for Evan in St. Michaels, but Evan had a surprise of his own!

He secretly switched their sail to a private charter aboard Epiphany with so he could propose. I pretended to be crew and captured the moment with the colorful Code Zero sail behind them!

After she said YES, we celebrated with champagne and engagement photos—including a few in Grace’s new St. Michaels sweater!

Almost 10 years ago, I had the honor of photographing Ann & Gideon’s wedding, and now I get to capture their family with daughters Virginia & Molly.

We spent the evening at their family horse farm, where Ann’s horse Nana joined us for portraits, the girls fed carrots to Pirate the pony, and we ended the session with cowboy boots and plenty of time for Virginia & Molly to simply be kids on the farm.

One of the best parts of being a photographer is watching families grow through the years!

After more than five years together, Doug had the perfect surprise planned for Emmy!

What Emmy thought was a wine tasting sail aboard Epiphany with quickly turned into an unforgettable proposal on the bow. After she said YES, we popped champagne and captured some engagement portraits around the boat.

But Doug wasn’t finished with the surprises! All four of their parents arrived by harbor shuttle to join the celebration!

From their sweet first look in downtown Annapolis to personal vows overlooking Back Creek at , this day was all about family, fun, and celebrating these two. After the ceremony, everyone headed downtown for an incredible family-style Italian dinner at , followed by the part Amy & Magdey were most excited about… dancing!

A little drama for this sneak peek from Saturday's wedding at !

The pavilion made such a beautiful setting for the ceremony, and I loved using flash to bring out the warm glow of the chandeliers, the gorgeous woodwork, and all the drama of the moment. Sometimes a little creative lighting completely transforms a scene. 📸
