Predawn at Schoodic Point.
This new photo I took last September, on a cool morning.
The muted predawn colors are some of my favorite, I do a lot of predawn, and late dusk photos for that reason. Sometimes (depending on the atmospheric conditions) you can get either cool muted tones, or vibrant warm deep reds, and oranges.

Schoodic Point is an amazing part of Acadia National Park!

New Photo Release!

The schooner Margret Todd at daybreak.

I setup here for this photo well before sunrise, at the shore just above the water level to capture the full reflection of Her masts in the water.

Really happy with how this the sunrise was spectacular, and the water reflected that color beautifully.

Will be releasing the vertical version of this photo soon.

Hendricks Head Lighthouse, in Southport Maine.

This is one of my favorite, and little known lighthouses. I always wanted to capture that shaft of red light in the water, and finally after years of photographing Hendricks Head the conditions were just right.

A long exposure allowed me to smooth the water enough to capture the red light in the water, and the pastel clouds, and movement compliment the light perfectly!
