There are some families who just become a true joy to work with over and over again, and this session was one of those special reminders of why I love what I do.

Having the honor of capturing so many meaningful milestones for this family over time is something I don’t take lightly. Each session tells a new chapter of their story, and I’m always grateful to be trusted with those memories.

This time, we returned to one of my favorite local small businesses, Sparrowdale - Gathering and Working Space in Princeville, IL, for the backdrop—and once again, it did not disappoint. Supporting local spaces like this not only makes sessions even more unique and beautiful, but it also creates the most perfect atmosphere for natural, timeless images.

The light, the textures, the charm of the space… everything came together effortlessly and allowed this family’s connection to truly shine through in every frame.

Some love stories just feel like they belong in a book.

This couple shares a deep love for each other and for the outdoors. The kind of love that feels effortless, grounded, and full of joy in the simplest moments. So there was truly no better way to capture their connection than with a storybook-inspired picnic tucked into nature.

Blankets spread beneath open skies, soft laughter carried by the breeze, and quiet moments that spoke louder than words—everything about this session felt like stepping into a scene written just for them. Nothing forced, nothing posed too perfectly… just two people completely at home in each other’s presence.

These are the kinds of sessions I live for. The ones where love doesn’t need direction, just space to exist.

Not every senior session has to last hours to create meaningful memories.

From the moment we started, he made my job easy. He was comfortable in front of the camera, willing to trust the process, and completely authentic to who he is.

Believe it or not, this entire session took just 30 minutes from start to finish. And the result? A gallery full of images that perfectly capture this exciting season of life.

Sometimes that's a great reminder that beautiful moments don't always require a lot of time. When you show up as yourself, even a short session can tell a powerful story.

Some sessions are simply a joy from beginning to end, and this senior session was definitely one of them.

This beautiful young woman shines not only because of how stunning she is, but because of the kindness, confidence, and grace she carries wherever she goes. Her inner beauty is just as remarkable as her outward beauty, and it was such an honor to capture this exciting season of her life.

Senior year is filled with so many milestones, memories, and dreams for the future. Watching seniors step into who they are becoming is one of my favorite parts of photography, and this session was a wonderful reminder of just how bright the future can be.

There is just something so special about those first few weeks.

This sweet little babe was an absolute dream to photograph, tiny fingers, sleepy snuggles, and all the precious details that change far too quickly. Watching a family settle into this new chapter and witnessing the overwhelming love they already have for their little one is one of my favorite parts of newborn photography.

These early days can feel like a blur of feedings, cuddles, and sleepless nights, but they are also filled with some of life's most beautiful moments. I am so grateful to help preserve these memories for families to look back on for years to come.

There is something incredibly special about walking alongside a family through so many of life's most meaningful milestones.

From capturing the anticipation and beauty of their maternity session to welcoming their precious little one during their newborn session, it has been an absolute honor to document these memories. Watching families grow and evolve is one of the greatest gifts of what I do, and I am endlessly grateful when clients continue to trust me time and time again with their most treasured moments.

If you've noticed that I've been a little quieter behind the camera and on social media lately, I wanted to take a moment to share why.

This past year has been filled with a lot of change and growth. Between moving houses in the middle of the school year, continuing my work as a full-time school counselor, tackling home renovations, supporting youth athletics, and simply navigating the beautiful chaos of everyday life, my plate has been full.

Through it all, I've felt God gently reminding me to slow down. To be present. To not become so focused on capturing everyone else's memories that I forget to fully live the moments in my own life.

To every client, follower, friend, and family member who has supported me, whether behind a screen or in person, thank you. Your encouragement, trust, referrals, kind words, and continued belief in me mean more than you know. I never take your support for granted, and I certainly never take the honor of capturing your memories for granted.

This season has taught me that it's okay to slow down, embrace where God has planted me.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for your patience. And thank you for continuing to be part of this journey with me.
