A few photographs from the many I have taken throughout my long career in Washington, DC.

Each image represents a different assignment, a different story, and another opportunity to enjoy the work I chose so many years ago. After more than 40 years as a photographer, I still enjoy every day behind the camera, meeting people, documenting meaningful moments, and looking for new ways to tell stories through images.

Photography has given me an extraordinary career, and I remain as curious and passionate about it today as I was when I began.

📸Having the latest camera doesn’t necessarily make you a better photographer.

During more than 40 years working as a photographer, I have used many different cameras. Technology changes, but the fundamentals remain the same: understanding light, composition, timing, and knowing how to get the best from the camera you already have.

Before investing in new equipment, take the time to master what is already in your hands. In the end, the photograph depends much more on the photographer than on the camera.

The Old Post Office Pavilion originally completed in 1899, has become a testament to the importance of preserving historical landmarks while adapting them for contemporary use. A building that impressed me since my first days in Washington DC and I'm happy to photograph again from a roof top.

It’s hard to believe that 24 years have passed since I arrived in the United States with a camera, my family, my dog, and a dream of building a better future.

This image is from one of the very first events I photographed after arriving. Since then, technology has evolved, and so has my technique, vision, and experience. Years of learning and thousands of assignments later, I feel proud to deliver event photography at the highest level of quality.

Photography has given me the privilege of documenting history, people, cultures, and meaningful moments along the way.
