I’m proud to announce the birth of my *daughter*, Lydia 💜🥰. (Still feels weird to say)

Lydia arrived early and spent some days in the NICU while getting her strength up but we are now home and adjusting to being a family of 6!

I now begin my official maternity leave as my priorities shift from full time Portrait Photographer to full time mommy of a newborn—being sure to create that strong bond and soak in all that time that flies by all too quickly and that you can never get back.

If you need me, or would like to inquire for later 2024 portrait sessions (July through December), please be sure to email me. I will not be managing my socials closely during this time.

For $99 (plus applicable taxes), you may pre-book your maternity, womens beauty/solo portrait, headshot, or white sheet/black noir session for the months of July 2024-December 2024. **Newborn, Mom + Baby, and Family portraits may be pre-booked for $199.

Note: you do not necessarily need a specific date scheduled, but you will need to schedule a "slot" to be used in a specific month ideally.

Hello Hello!

It's been a minute, hasn't it? Let me explain:

2023 was amazingly busy. I had the most sessions in a single year to date, to which I am eternally grateful 🫶.

I also found out I was expecting my fourth child (6th counting losses)- very unexpectedly- and when I say this pregnancy has been different from all of my others, I sure do mean it. I suppose that comes with the territory of surprise babies and being "advanced maternal age". 😏

There's been some health challenges along the way this time that has made keeping up with all of my other spinning plates difficult to say the least. For the last couple of months of 2023, I really needed to prioritize my and baby's health as well as valuable time spent with my family before the big day comes. I have intentionally taken a slow start to 2024 as well as I re-imagine what DMP will look like this year and beyond and how I will be able to serve clients while being a "new" mom myself this year.

It's important to me that I am able to serve you well and provide a quality portrait experience. For this reason, I am planning on making some adaptations to my session structure. In the next few days and weeks, please be on the lookout for promotions coming your way to help get the ball rolling! I am SO EXCITED for what's to come after I return from maternity leave and I think you will be, too!

Below is a little sneak peek of my own maternity session I made time to do. It was only fitting to make my own session the very last of 2023. What a way to close that chapter! I am thrilled with how they have turned out!

Flashback to one of my very favorite births I've ever attended! Did you know that squeezing a hair comb during labor can help with pain management? I may have to give it a go myself this time!

Anyone else use this method? What are your thoughts?

This sweet baby girl has a sister in heaven waiting to meet her someday! Mom had a beautiful idea to include big sisters' memory and honor by incorporating the stuffed lamb that was made for her during baby sister's newborn session. The lamb weighs the exact weight of big sis when she was born. ❤
