After leaving home at 18 I've been a lot of places
Seen friendly and unfriendly faces in diverse of spaces
But on this day in 01 again fate and trauma meet
And the universe place me down on 1 Wall Street.
If I denied the vibe of feeling special on this day I be a liar
The truth lies in love cries of a mother 36 years prior
Some say we didn't ask to be here and none of us do
But some people hear my date of birth and get filled with gloom
But yo,
I found ways to deal with obstacles and strife
And make the most out of what some have called a worthless life
But I'm still here against all odds
And living life to the fullest
And finding new ways to reflect God's goodness
So if I had a birthday wish there's one I wouldn't ignore
The blessing of another Happy Healthy New Year and many many more.
