✨ Some opportunities just feel like they were meant to happen. ✨

If you know me… you know my heart.

You know my love for vintage pin-up art, classic photography, celebrating women, and helping people feel beautiful in their own skin. ❤️

So when Teri Dinnius of Dinnius Photography invited me in on this project and we put our heads together I immediately said YES 🙌 to be the makeup artist for this incredible Route 66-inspired portrait experience, we also wanted to give back, so we will be partnering with Tigerlili Resources, Inc. - STL to help women and children escaping s*x trafficking…

There wasn’t a second of hesitation.

This is exactly the kind of project I love saying YES to. 🥹✨

The 100th Birthday of Rt. 66 inspired my love of "PinUp" portraiture, which is simply playful beautiful posing to flatter every women. My goal with every portrait I create is to empower that person to realise how beautiful (or handsome) they truly are inside and out. God does not create ugly (Not even giraffes with their long necks. They are so cute. Right?). LoL

An idea popped into my head that I could use the 100th celebration to bring back that amazing Portrait Art from the past, finishing the portraits I create enhanced as a watercolour style photo and on watercolour paper. They are UNBELIEVABLE when finished. Can't wait to show them to you in person.
Then I met a woman author who has written about Women in History and all they accomplished on Hwy Rt 66. Most folks are not aware of architects, nurses, and cooks that served everyone on Rt. 66. The author is Cheryl Eichar Jett and she is in Edwardsville. Cheryl has written "Aprons Away" - it's full of strong women's accomplishments that have often gone often unknown in history.

WOW! MY STUDIO is on ROUTE 66 & I know some incredible Women who make a difference in others' lives daily. We are making the History of TODAY. This will be my way of giving them the recognition they should receive.

Now, I don't believe we are truly successful unless we give back to community that supports us and our businesses. So with some networking I asked, "Do you know a women's charity we can donate to?" and several ladies suggested TigerLili Resources. Many of us have met Meredith, who began this priceless service by creating a Safe House for children captured in trafficking. (My heart) which leads us to making a donation of $25 from every Portrait Session. Totally unexpected, other businesses are asking to participate with their donations too.

This is sn*******ng in a GOOD way. Exciting!

We have Brittani Bouwman, The Color Bomb Creatrix, makeup Master offering a special package just for this occasion. She's so talented & is available to join us by appointment. Brittani has vision as well as the skills to make a PinUp sparkle.

Finally, we can create these portraits individually or as Party of 5!
Instead of just one person coming to my studio what if 5 friends came together? Wouldn't that be a blast?! If It's a girl's party, you know we gotta have snacks & I will provide some tasty treats for your menagerie of laughter.

Ending all this affair, we will have a rip-roaring event this Fall to come together meeting the other "PinUp" models, seeing some of the portraits, hearing from Women speakers and everyone will receive a Thank You Gift in appreciation of your participation.
