Over the winter holidays, I got to spend two amazing days with my best friend just hanging out and having fun....and naturally taking as many photos of her as I could because she's gorgeous and we always have fun!

Spend a few minutes decompressing, breathing in and out slowly. The world is stressful as it is, your mind should be your safe space.

I find sitting by water (like the Gulf) and just listening to the sounds of seabirds and water lapping at the dock or beach, smelling the salt in the air, feeling the sunshine on my skin, tasting the sea air as I breathe, watching the water ripple and move, all of it helps to recenter and calm my overactive nervous system. As someone who deals with a lot of stress and anxiety, finding one thing that helps calm my mind and body has been a lifesaver so many times. I've always been drawn to the water since I was a child, and I find peace in and around it. Even my ADHD brain calms down significantly when I'm around water and I don't get overwhelmed by sensory input.

I can't decide which one I love more: the RAW file as shot or the edited image. Both are gorgeous and I love that I got a beautiful lens flare that El Paso is known to give on occasion.
