POV: I’m scrolling through old galleries and getting emotional all over again. 🤍

There is something so special about those very first introductions.

A mom seeing her baby for the first time.

A dad’s face when everything suddenly feels real.

Grandparents meeting their newest grandchild.

A big brother or sister carefully saying hello.

These moments happen once, and somehow I get the incredible privilege of standing quietly in the room, preserving them forever.

Looking back at these memories reminds me just how much love can fit into a single hospital room.

Last year we were celebrating her big sister’s Sweet 16. Somehow, we’re already back celebrating another milestone… this time, it’s Amarie’s turn. 🤍

Watching families come back as the years go by never gets old. It’s such a privilege to see these girls grow up and be trusted to document each new chapter.

Amarie made this session so much fun. She brought the smiles, the confidence, and so much personality to the studio. Happy 10th birthday, sweet girl! ✨

Some stories stay with you.

A few years ago, I had the honor of photographing Britney and Jacquois as they welcomed their first baby in El Paso. When they found out they were expecting again, Britney reached out with one question:

“Were you serious about traveling?”

Without hesitation… absolutely.

So I packed my bags and met them in Virginia to document another chapter of their family’s story.

Birth doesn’t always unfold the way we imagine it will, but what never changed was the love in that room. The way Jacqouis stayed by Britney’s side. The way they both welcomed their newest little one with so much joy. The quiet strength it takes to become parents all over again.

Getting to witness one birth is an incredible privilege.

Being invited back for a second is something I’ll never take for granted.

Britney and Jacqouis, thank you for trusting me with another piece of your family’s story. It means more than I can put into words. 🤍
