It’s that time of year again where we enter the PEAK Colorado fall foliage leaf peeping extravaganza 🍂

Before heading out, I used my trusty onX Offroad | Off-Roading Navigation App app to plan, scout, and map out some of my favorite off-road trails, camping zones, and scenic little spots that looked like they had a high probability of making me lose my mind over yellow trees.

I was able to use the map layers to check public land, scout trail access, save potential campsites, and download offline maps before losing service, which is basically mandatory when your entire plan is “drive into the mountains and hope the aspens are doing the thing.”

The filters and satellite view made it way easier to find routes that would tuck me right into a sea of yellow aspens, with dramatic peaks towering above from every direction.

The next few weeks will be filled with wild adventures, scenic drives, questionable amounts of coffee, and camping in some of the most beautiful places the autumn season has to offer.

FALLoRADo time, baby!! Let the leaf peeping chaos begin.

Patagonia in autumn, photographed in April 🍂

Chilean and Argentine Patagonia are by far one of the most insane regions in the world that I traveled during fall.

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve been back here, but maaaaaaybe I’ll head out there during 2027.

There’s truly nothing quite like the mix of red trees and some of the most iconic peaks on the whole planet all working together to create the most jaw-dropping scenes I’ve ever trekked through.

The first few days of my FALLorado adventure started off with a bang 🍂

The leaves are changing fast and I’ve been frolicking around in a sea of golden aspens. Colorado this time of year is an absolute sight to see and over the next few days to weeks more and more areas will be changing into those beautiful autumnal colours we all know and love.

It is a slightly strange year with the drought, but there is still lots of colour to be had while exploring this beautiful state.

I’m crossing my fingers to see some snow dusted mountains soon!!

A fall drive through the mountains of Utah 🍁

I snapped these images a couple years ago on a drive through Utah and was blown away by the mix of vibrant reds, yellows, and oranges.

The only other places I have witnessed red leaves like this are out in Eastern Canada, Eastern USA, and Patagonia.

Peak autumn colours are quickly approaching in many of the places I want to explore this year so it’s time to buckle up, chug a pumpkin spice latte, and peep some leaves. 🤠

Officials en route to Colorado for a leaf-peeping extravaganza.

This will be my second time exploring the changing of the seasons in this epic state. Fall is one of my all time favourite times of the year for adventures, photography, and everything in between… But it comes FAST.

For everyone else chasing the leaves this season, GOOD LUCK AND MAY THE AUTUMNAL GODS BE IN YOUR FAVOUR 🫶

There’s really nowhere quite like the Adirondacks Mountains of Upstate New York during peak autumn. 🍂

I won’t be making it out here this year, but if you’re spending fall in the northeast make sure you grab a piping hot PSL and a nice crisp c***r for me.

My fall adventures are quickly approaching and I can’t wait for everything that follows as I run around like a chicken with its head chopped off trying to photograph dying leaves. 🍁

Autumnal scenes from last year’s trip to the Italian Dolomites.

My absolute FAVOURITE time of the year is nearly upon us. Over the next couple of weeks the leaves will change colour and before we know it we will have peak fall vibes. 🍂☕️

The Dolomites were one of my favourite places to experience the changing of the seasons. This region of Italy has everything from vibrant gold larches, towering mountain peaks, refugios along the trail with delicious food, cozy cabins, and soooooo much more.

I’m currently plotting my exact autumn plans for this season and can’t wait for the adventures that are about to unfold.

Good times backpacking in the Sawtooth Mountains 🏕️

The end of summer is my absolute favourite time to be hiking in the mountains. It’s not too hot, not too cold, all the bugs are mostly gone, and the crowds have dwindled.

We practically had this whole lake to ourselves and had a silly goofy time at the perfect campsite with the best humans in some majestic mountains.

P.S. I totally won that game of monopoly deal 😎

I’ve been cruising around Idaho finding some absolutely epic trails and campsites with some help from onX Offroad | Off-Roading Navigation App 🏕️

The goal was to set up a little basecamp in the mountains for our rigs close to where we wanted to do some hiking adventures, while still being somewhere with absolutely INSANE views.

It’s safe to say we found the PERFECT spot.

I’m stoked to spend the last bit of summer camping in the mountains with my closest friends and going on adventures that we will never forget.

There’s not much better than paddling over a never ending mirror in the mountains of Montana with nothing but a cold brew, a canoe, and a kangaroo 🤠
