Dwain Patton and his son, Cyle O'Donnell, collectively have four decades of shooting experience that cover nearly 50 countries spanning North, Central and South America, Southeast and Far East Asia, Northern and Eastern Europe, and North A
frica. While Dwain worked as a Naval photojournalist covering human interest work for the
military between the 1970s and 1980s, Cyle, whose active years began in 2005, grew up behind the lens, eventually completing his undergraduate degrees in journalism, environmental science, and his graduate degrees in media and communications. Their cumulative experiences and academic studies have informed and influenced their
individual styles of capturing disparate worlds. As Dwain focused his later works on Americana and visages centered around Midwest
folk, Southwest expanses, and small town flair, Cyle took his career abroad, capturing
history, culture and cuisine as a travel show host and international professor teaching in
documentary media studies at universities in five countries. This collection of works represents their first intensive project together
