A great example of how drones can increase site awareness. The hardware and software available today along with tried and true workflows make this a simple addition to any large-scale project. I feel that drones are underutilized in construction today. This could be due to the expense and training involved or unreliable data produced in the past. Drones can provide today the quality control the contractor needs to eliminate unforseen cost and the quality assurance the owner wants for their investment. Very few times do you get the opportunity to see the finished project, let alone get to participate in why it was built. Topgolf Louisville will be opening soon and the contractors, family and friends who worked on the project were allowed a preview of the facility. I have had the pleasure of working on the Topgolf project in Louisville. I am responsible for the Construction Layout for the project. Here is some progress shots taken on April 7, 2022. Things are moving along and the project is being constructed as per plan.

Created an as-built model and map of the site for one of my customers. I am using this to provide quality control and assurance that the improvements were constructed per the plans and specifications.

Earlier this year, we published a Parachute Recovery System Questionnaire to gain a deeper understanding of commercial pilots' sentiment of parachute recovery systems. This Questionnaire collected responses (n=98) from pilots and DJI dealers about their opinions and understanding of types of drones owned, CAA regulations, technical specifications, and intentions of purchasing a parachute recovery system.

The formal results from the Questionnaire will be published as a white paper later this spring. In the meantime, here are a few results that may be of interest to you.

What they knew:
(1) 55.10% stated they knew what ASTM F3322-18 compliance testing was.

What they did not know:
(1) 57.14% stated they did not know the specific rules for transporting a CO2 and Pyrotechnic solution on an airplane.

(2) 23.47% stated that they did not know what a flight termination system is.

What they intend to do:

31.96% stated that they intend to purchase a parachute recovery system without any conditions
