Junior year is almost over, which means it's time to start thinking about senior portraits.
I know, it feels early, but most boutique photographers (myself included) book up 3–6 months in advance, and summer sessions go fast.
Here's what I want junior moms to know:
Summer is actually the ideal time to shoot. No school schedule, more flexibility, and your child is way more relaxed, which shows in the photos.
Not all senior photography is the same. A boutique photographer means unhurried sessions, personal attention, and images that actually look like them, not a template. If you want an experience that feels personal and genuinely like your child, you'll never regret choosing a boutique studio.
The best thing you can do right now is start exploring photographers whose work you love and reach out to check availability. Don't wait until August when everyone's scrambling.
