I know this isn't new news and the fact that they plan to renew production next year, but I kinda doubt things will change. I have never seen an IDBUZZ on the road, but I've seen 3-4 on every VW dealer lot that have been there since the car released. Europe has the advantage of them selling a cargo variant there that could be used as a company vehicle, but here I don't think the passenger van has a market. The people who would be interested in a quirky car like this aren't spending $60-75k on a car, and with the pushback on EVs in the United States, I think this car was just bound to fail.
