Walking straight into Fall wedding season! 🍂🤎

The season of changing leaves, cooler nights, cozy details, golden light, and some of my favorite weddings of the year. There’s just something about fall couples that makes me want to slow down, notice everything, and make a little art out of it all.

So here we go. Bring on the crisp air, the happy tears, the wild dance floors, the in-between moments, and all the magic that comes with this time of year. 🥂🍁

Sometimes the doubt creeps in. The little voice that makes you question your work, your creativity, or whether you’re actually doing enough.

But then I create.

I keep showing up, making things, trying something new, and pushing myself outside of my comfort zone. And honestly, that’s what keeps me going. Creating consistently keeps me excited about what I do and reminds me why I fell in love with it in the first place.

I never want to stop challenging myself creatively. I want to keep learning, experimenting, and finding new ways to tell your story because your wedding photos deserve more than me simply showing up and doing what I’ve always done.

I want to make images that feel like you. The ones you’ll obsess over, the ones that bring you right back to the feeling of that day, and the ones that are everything you hoped for — and then some. 🤍

Engagement sessions are about so much more than having pretty photos before the wedding.

They’re a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera, figure out what feels natural, and learn how I photograph you before the big day ever arrives.

Because on your wedding day, I don’t want you thinking about where to put your hands, how to stand, or whether you’re “doing it right.” I want you to be present with each other.

Your engagement session gives us a chance to get to know each other, shake off the awkwardness, and create a little practice round before all the excitement of your wedding day.

And honestly? Some of my favorite images come from these sessions because there’s no timeline, no guests waiting, and nowhere else you need to be. Just the two of you, being yourselves.

So yes, you’ll get beautiful photos for your walls, your invitations, and your save-the-dates.

But the real reason I love engagement sessions? They make your wedding day feel a whole lot easier. ✨

3 reasons you should totally skip golden hour photos on your wedding day:

1. You definitely don’t need 10 minutes of your photographer stealing you away from the chaos. How dare I give you a quiet moment together. 🙄

2. The light is honestly way too pretty. Your skin will glow, everything will look romantic, and you might actually love your photos. Sounds terrible.

3. You’ll only get the opportunity for that dreamy, glowy, kind of light for approximately 10 minutes that NOBODY wants. ;)

Obviously, I’m kidding.
Golden hour is my favorite 10 minutes on basically every wedding timeline. It’s one of the few times during the day when I can pull you away from everyone, slow things down, and let you just be together.

So yes, I’m going to ask for those 10 minutes.
And yes, you’re going to be glad we did.
