I finally got around to sharing some photos from Zuhila's bridal session back at the beginning of April.

We headed up to the mountains on what looked like a beautiful day, but it was much colder than we expected. It was freezing, and the wind was blowing hard most of the time we were there. Even with the weather working against us, we made the best of it and got some beautiful photos.

Zuhila looked absolutely gorgeous, and I'm so glad we were able to capture these moments for her. Sometimes the conditions aren't perfect, but it's always worth it when you see the final images.

Ansley and Avery’s engagement session was such a beautiful evening. Even though it was so hot and the mosquitos ate us up, these two were absolute troopers and never stopped smiling.

They wanted their photos taken in the place that feels most like home to them since it’s where they spend so much of their time together. It was the perfect location to capture their love story while showing off the beautiful views and scenery that mean so much to them.

We were rewarded with the most gorgeous sunset, and the golden light made everything even more beautiful. Between the stunning views, the peaceful setting, and the sweet way these two interact, it was such a fun session to photograph.

We ended the evening with a canoe ride in their pond, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect way to wrap up the session. It was simple, personal, and completely them. These are just some previews with more to come.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your patience to those waiting for your wedding photos and other sessions. May was an incredibly busy month for me, between my daughter's graduation, having family in town, travel soccer, my regular full time job and photographing weddings nearly every weekend.

Now that we're moving into June, my schedule should be much more manageable, allowing me to focus heavily on editing and catching up on my workload. Please know that I am continuing to work through each gallery with the care and attention your special day deserves.

I truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and support. My goal is to have your photos delivered in the coming weeks, and I can't wait to share those memories with you.

One of my favorite things as a wedding photographer is when I spot a good looking couple at a wedding, ask if I can steal them for a quick photo, and they fully trust the vision. 📸✨

No posing experience, no pressure, just good energy, confidence, and capturing the moment. Those are usually the photos that end up looking straight out of a movie.

This was one of those moments. Thank you both for saying yes, following my creative direction, and absolutely crushing it in front of the camera. 🔥

Sometimes things don’t go as planned, but God always makes a way. 🙌🏼

We started first at the Catholic Church in Forest City, NC and originally planned to finish Christina’s quinceañera session at the Biltmore, but once we got there, the roads to the house and gardens were closed and we couldn’t even get in due to a movie being filmed.
I was a little upset because we payed to enter the grounds and they didn't say anything about it being closed.

So we had to completely improvise the session on the spot… and honestly, praise the Lord because it still turned out AMAZING. 📸

We captured some awesome shots, and Christina made my job easy. She looked absolutely beautiful and was so chill and fun to work with the entire time, as you can tell by the previews.

Happy 15th Birthday, Christina! 🎉 Thank you for trusting me to capture such a special moment in your life.

People see a $300 photoshoot and think photographers are taking home $300 in profit… and I promise that’s not reality 🥹

What most people don’t see is everything that goes on behind the scenes of running a photography business.

A session payment doesn’t just go into my pocket. It goes toward:
✨ taxes
✨ gallery delivery + website fees
✨ editing software subscriptions
✨ SD cards + hard drives
✨ camera bodies + lenses
✨ gas/travel
✨ insurance
✨ advertising
✨ continuing education
✨ equipment maintenance/upgrades

Also paying my assistant right after the session, and then there’s the biggest thing of all … time.

The actual session is only a tiny portion of the job. There’s hours spent planning, communicating, culling galleries, hand editing images, delivering galleries, bookkeeping, answering messages/emails, cleaning equipment and so much more that nobody really sees.

Photography is so much more than “just taking pictures.” It’s a full business, a creative service, and honestly a huge labor of love.

I completely understand that professional photography isn’t in everyone’s budget, and that’s okay! But I’ll always be thankful for the clients who value the work, time, and heart that goes into creating these memories, and to those clients, I appreciate you 😃

The O’Shall wedding was truly something special. Every detail was beautiful, every moment felt genuine, and even though it was a little chilly and windy, everything came together perfectly from beginning to end.
Capturing these memories was an honor, and I’m still smiling looking through the images.

Some couples just make love look effortless. Photographing Mr. & Mrs. Hill on their wedding day was such a blessing because their kindness, joy, and the way they care for each other shines through in every moment. Truly one of the sweetest couples I know, and I’m grateful I got to capture the beginning of this beautiful chapter together. Wishing you both a lifetime full of love, laughter, and blessings.
