Steph & Mitch's engagement photos leaned into romance and the drama of the day's last light.

I had some ideas on how to get things moving, but this is truly them at their core. Tender, playful and gentle. It took very little coaxing from me to make it show.

Can't wait to see what we'll create together next summer 🤎

Jessika & Adrien, a love story ten years in the making.

I don't know that I've ever seen love expressed between two people like this before. Their every glance had depth and knowing. Their vows were written from the depths of their souls. They let the tears fall. They let their people envelop them in love and celebration. They remembered those who couldn't be there (slide 6).

To their cores, they are two of the gentlest, most beautiful souls I've ever met.

This is just a small taste of everything that was. More to come soon. 🤍

I'm about to write a novel, so settle in 👏

Cynthia and Michael are the realest people. Their wedding was extra special to me because Michael is actually my second cousin! I always appreciate when couples put their trust in me to photograph their wedding, but doing it for family? Indescribable.

The number one thing they expressed to me was that they wanted to actually LIVE their day, not stop it every few minutes for taking a ton of specific photos. When they said candid moments mattered more, they actually meant it.

So what does that look like in reality?

Pre-ceremony prep was 5 minutes of curated portraits, and the rest observational.

Couple portraits took 15 minutes.

Family photos were done loosely throughout cocktail.

Photos were taken with each table in 15 minutes.

The rest of their day was left to its own devices and we caught beautiful, meaningful things that we'd have never been able to manufacture.

Not one second of this day felt like work. I had the joy of seeing family, taking amazing pictures and also having the best time.

I'll cherish these memories forever. 🤍

One of my favourite engagement session ideas is using the neighbourhood my couple lives in as the backdrop.

Anna & Simon wanted to remember the essence of the vine-lined streets around their home. A quick pop into Lafontaine park was the cherry on top.
