I don’t want to unintentionally ghost or be all secretive about why I’m on an indefinite sabbatical; I just don’t have energy and my mysterious illness is awkward, especially knowing that everyone has their own complicated stuff. That said, it appears whatever this is will be sticking around and I'll be MIA for quite awhile:

Currently, the best case scenario is that I may have Long Corona with a twist of Chronic Lyme? I give it a 3/10 – do not recommend, real weird, but it could be worse.

Small businesses and artists are doing what they can to create in a really weird time... and I know it is really really weird to feature a *competitor* on my own business page BUT...
1) I don't believe in competitors, especially in art
2) She is my photography mentor, a dear friend, and I love who she is
3) I have ZERO desire to teach photography classes, virtual or in person right now --but this idea is so perfect.

On that note: PARENTS... With summer camps canceled and since kids need activities... HAVE THEM DO THIS VIRTUAL CAMERA CAMP. It starts Monday for 2nd - 8th graders -- and it will get your kids outside and searching for light and beauty and diversity. Amy Tripple Photography is kind and brilliant and beautiful and your kids will learn more than just photography.

My neighbor lost her *stuff* the other day during the storms. Like literally stood in the torrential downpour screaming obscenities at the top of her lungs while surveying the lake in her backyard that forms frequently each year. I get it. No judgement here. We've all lost our s**t from time to time and during this global pandemic, I'm pretty sure many of us are living on the cusp.

THAT SAID--- Mad amounts of water in our YARDS (not basements or homes) doesn't need to be the last straw. For a few years, I've been systematically putting rain gardens around downspouts and low spots in the yard. Crazy how much faster the water absorbs and it is pretty instead of a swampy mosquito Sybaris.

So... If the upcoming forecast is a trigger... Maybe consider this webinar? I'm really excited about learning even more about embracing nature rather than fighting it.

Today we organized and redid our wifi and went for a family walk (the kids kept going) and made the first sangria of the season and then dinner on the grill... and life is soooo slow--- but so full and beautiful and fulfilling (and surreal) and it feels like we got a much needed pause button on life. Grateful for the people who are on the front lines but doing my part to embrace sheltering in place. @ Kelly & Her Camera

What are you doing with your shelter in place? Our state-mandated sabbatical? Mental health? Walks? Projects? Books? Movies? Series? Meditation? Hobbies? Nothing? (which is not only okay but highly recommended). We are doing a little bit of it all.

Our always quarantined Giant Queen Gnome is excited to wave at the scavenger hunters walking by... who else is playing the kids craft walk? This week is hearts to thank people in healthcare... starting the 20th is a dinosaur in the window ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
