Most of the folks following me realize I do both photographic art and painting. Started actually as a painter as a kid. Won my first award at 13 in painting, and then my first national award in photography at 19!

Well, kept staring at this piece and realized the white border, now painted mostly red, didn’t work so well being white. After adding the red, I added green lines to complement the red. Now I think she’s finished for sure. It’s a 4 x 5‘ acrylic on canvas entitled Controlled chaos. It was $8800 but when it’s wet, I only ask $1900, a ‘still wet painting special’. Two days from now it’ll return back to the $8800 price.  A couple of detailed shots are included here.

Sometimes revisiting a composition, as well as the color scheme, might indicate a way to make it stronger. That knowledge comes with practice. 👍 in this case I added more red. Much stronger I’d say. 60x30”, acrylic on canvas. Only $6,800.
