Very cool

A little snow couldn’t hide from LiDAR ❄️

This point cloud was captured on a recent site flight — and if you look closely, you can see multiple clusters of “floating” points above the trees. That’s not a data error… that’s snowfall being picked up by the LIDAR!

It’s amazing how sensitive LiDAR technology is — able to detect something as small as a snowflake mid-air while still delivering accurate, ground-level data for mapping and analysis.
