Hi friends, I just realized I have not properly introduced myself here. My name is Maritza, but I go by Mari (pronounced Moddie). I am the person behind Shuttered Perfection 📸

I am all about capturing real moments, the laughs, the tears, and the in-between, and creating photos that take you right back to how it felt. I work as an Admissions Assistant full time, but I also work at the Barrel Room as BOH Expo and Social Media Manager. I love both of these jobs and I am so thankful for the amazing people I get to work with every day.

With everything going on, my photo calendar did slow down a bit, but I am catching up. A few albums that are behind schedule will be finished and delivered this week. Thank you so much for being patient and for all your love and support. It truly means the world to me ❤️

On June 13th, Maria and Ed vowed forever in the most beautiful way — surrounded only by those who’ve known their hearts best. Their home transformed into a garden of love and laughter, full of soft light, sweet family hugs, and stories told over homemade desserts.

What made it unforgettable wasn’t just the details (though wow ✨) — it was the feeling. Every person there belonged. And somehow, they made me feel like I did too. 💕

Maria brought together local love officiated their vows, and Mrs. Deanna’s desserts made it all taste like home. It was soft and true and deeply theirs. 🥺

Just finished Kinsey’s senior session and wow… full circle moment. She was one of my Chick-fil-A kids back when I worked there, and now she’s graduating?? It’s wild how time flies, but I swear CFA really does attract the sweetest souls—Kinsey’s one of them.

Also yes, I’m still booking senior sessions! If you’re wanting something that actually feels like you and tells your story this year, I’d love to plan something together.

And for everyone who’s been waiting on my big project—thank you for being patient with me. I’ve been working on it for over a month now, and I really thought it’d be done by today (lol). Still editing, but it’s on the way!
