Branding photos are a business win!✨

Nobody mentions this, but branding photos can make showing up on line waaaaay easier.

The industry talks a lot about looking professional, having a cohesive brand, getting a variety of images, and creating a beautiful gallery. But it doesn’t talk enough about the mental load of creating content.

A good branding session isn’t just about getting pretty pictures. It’s about giving a business owner a visual library they can pull from when they’re thinking, “what the heck am I going to post today?” 🤣

Here is “proof” what good branding photos can do for how you show up online!

Go look at your content and business pages right now! How many of your photos are static headshots... and how many actually show what you do?

It’s incredibly important to have variety in your branding photos, and one of my favorite types to include is detail shots.

Think about the close-up of you writing in your journal, typing at your desk, arranging materials, making something, pouring a cup of coffee, or even the beautiful food being prepared for a retreat.

These little details help tell the bigger story. They show people what you actually do day to day and give them a glimpse into what it might feel like to work alongside you.

There isn’t a magic percentage that works for every business, but I generally like to see around 15–20% of a branding gallery made up of detail and context shots. And depending on what you do, you may need even more!

The goal isn’t to fill your gallery with 100 photos of your face from slightly different angles. 😂 It’s to create a library of images that gives your audience different ways to experience your brand.

Because sometimes you don’t need to show your face to show your NESS.

You just need to show them a little bit of your world. 📸

I want you to feel jazzed to send potential clients to your website. Like, “Yep, this is me. Come take a look!” 😍

When your website actually reflects who you are and the business you’ve built, it can do a whole lot of the introducing for you.

Your branding photos are a big part of that. They give people a chance to connect with you, get a feel for your personality, build trust, and picture what it might be like to work with you.

And if you’re reading this thinking, “That sounds great, but my website definitely isn’t doing that right now...” 👀

It might be time to update those branding photos and see what happens when the way you show up online actually feels like YOU.

Because your business has grown. Your photos should grow with it, too. 📸✨

Your favorite photo from your session probably won’t be your audience‘s favorite.

Your favorite? Something that makes you look good😏

BUT

Your client’s favorite photo of you is the one where you’re probably in action. It’s the one they can connect to, that makes them feel like they can trust you.

It’s often the one of you laughing, working with other clients, or where they get a glimpse into your personality.

Nobody’s looking for perfection, but sometimes the photo you might not choose, is the one that helps someone choose you.
