Visited family in Cincinnatti for thanksgiving and the "B1G" game. One thing about large gatherings is you catch up on the goings on in the extended family, and you get to follow the young un's as they grow. Another is you get to try out new equipment because there are always volunteers willing to jump in a frame or two. This is my great niece and unbeknownst to her she is a HUGE fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes who were triumphant.

So it's Christmas time already. Always nice to get a family photo to send to friends and family. Had the pleasure of capturing the Walters last week at their beautiful digs above the lake. Had such fun with the the boys and their parents. We took the boys to the limit of their patience and they hung in there like champs.

The March of Dimes held their annual Signature Chefs Auction earlier this month on the 13th to raise money to fight premature birth and birth defects. They do such good work. My childhood family felt the effects of birth defects, and had few to no resources for help. We are so fortunate now to have the March of Dimes. We have very close friends whose twins were born with birth weights measured in ounces. We saw the support and wonderful works of the MOD and the fantastic staff at the St Vincent NICU. Together they supported our friends and the twins to a healthy active life. Those two little ones are at the top of this page. Thanks March of Dimes. Thanks NICU staff.

Like to shoot? Got a horse? That's the pitch from the Stagecoach Outriders. They are mounted cowboy/girl shooters who compete and put on demonstrations of, well, shooting targets astride a galloping horse. I captured these at the Albion Area Fair last week. Very impressive and quite the show.

So Kate and I were sitting on the deck and this horde of young men come running down the bank and into the bay. I grab my camera and head in with them. Turns out they're the North Allegheny High School cross country team, and this is some sort of tradition for them. When I down load the images can't help but feel like it my first Abercrombie and Fitch ad spread, you know, hunky sports guys.

Had the privilege to have a senior picture portfolio shoot with Brianna. She was a natural, and adventurous wading up and down the creek, climbing trees, and meeting the folks under the train tracks. Beautiful young lady with an incredible smile. She and her mother were just so much fun to work with. BTW, I'm expanding my business into the "Senior pictures" arena. If you know a teen in the senior age bracket that would like to have a "senior picture" session. Get in touch. The sessions are free while I'm building my portfolio.

I was privileged to conduct a commercial shoot at ONEX Inc., a specialized manufacturing company in Erie that builds large industrial ovens. Ashleigh Walters the company president said she had a female welder, Leanne, and wanted a shot to promote women in industry. She referred to it as a "Rosie the Riveter" shot. Turns out not many remember or know about Rosie. Rosie was the symbol of women taking the place of men at factories during WWII. Luckily Leanne was willing to have a little fun to show that women have real opportunities in manufacturing and technical labor. So we produced the props and background, and Leanne reenacted the classic pose.

it is such a pleasure and honor to be invited into the lives of couples. To share some of their secrets, and see their glances, and intimate caresses, how they communicate and follow each other with their eyes.

I love taking pictures of people, posed or candid. Wandering on the street you meet some of the most iconoclastic interesting people you csanimagin.
