I will be sharing more from this beautiful day on your stories, but this memory deserves its own moment in the feed.

I ask my couples to trust me wholeheartedly. I know that can be hard sometimes, but it creates some of the best moments behind the camera. In the same breath, I trust my couples when they ask me to. This was the most perfect example of that.

"Want to go to the zoo for some photos?"
Uhm. Yes. Always yes.

I put my trust into Hannah & Matt, and they got to be kids again, riding the carousel at the zoo, on their wedding day. If that isn't a core memory, then I don't know what is.

365 days ago, about 30 of our closest friends and family members got on planes and flew to the Bahamas just to watch us say I do on a beach. Now, that beach was steam rolled, the water was a stunning turquoise blue, and the breeze was just enough to keep the heat at bay; so I feel like there wasn’t a lot of arguing from their perspective. It was a day I’ll remember for the rest of my life. It was perfect.

I threw away all of the rules when it came to my own wedding. Spending nearly every weekend at different weddings, I knew things I did and definitely did not want. Luckily for me, I have a partner who’s up for basically anything.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
*We spent basically all day together. No hiding away all morning. That’s weird for us. We are always together, so why wouldn’t our wedding day be any different?
*We had an AMAZING party the night before. Everyone came in white. We ate delicious food, sang and danced, and even did a little inking surprise with some help from our people.
*I changed my outfit, a lot. I knew I wanted portraits in the ocean, but I didn’t want to dance the night away in a sopping wet dress. So I found the best disco ball jumpsuit from my dreams. Then I had a backup dress just in case there was more water in my future. Good thing because my bridesmaids pulled me out into the ocean for a nighttime dip. Cue the 3rd dress.
*Our reception ended early. We partied the night before, all day together, and didn’t need to be out after midnight at that point. Instead, we let people peter out when they wanted to and ended up in a giant whirlpool bath tub eating bbq chicken in our wedding clothes. It was exactly what we wanted.

I love you Donna. To the moon and back a million times. There’s nothing I love more than getting to be your wife. 1 year down, a million more to go.

These 2 turned the big 1 - 0 yesterday and honestly I can’t believe it. They got to spend the afternoon bowling and playing at the arcade, and man oh man did they have the best time. I spent some time looking through photos of them and got very emotional. They’re my babies-but they’re definitely not babies anymore. I don’t share much about them anymore, not for any particular reason but it got me thinking about the little (ok maybe not quite “little” ) humans they’re becoming.

Hayden- the funny guy. So sweet and caring, never wanting to disappoint people and eager to cheer you up if he thinks you’re feeling down. He’s my sensitive one for sure. He’s gonna be the best friend and partner I think. Always up for a good time and ready for an adventure. He’s currently very much into space and we love getting to share that with him.

Brendan- The cuddle monster! He’s The Saturday couch surfer who’s always down for a good snack. The other days of the week? He’s doing parkour in the living room and climbing the walls. He takes the floor is lava to the extreme, and we love to see it. He’s very keen on his routines, an early to bed early to rise kinda guy. Always up for some giggles and silly goosery, Brendan brings light into shadows and can make just about anyone smile. He’s very into clocks, flags of the world, and Pac-Man.

I love being their mama. Truly. They have taught me so much in a short decade, and I know that as they grow into men that I’ll somehow find a way to be even prouder. That makes me smile.

Hello 2025!! I’m so happy you’re here. Let’s take an adventure or two, love on some people hard, let things that no longer serve us go, and make the most of the next 365 days (give or take a few). To my couples who are saying I do this year- you made it!! I cannot wait to celebrate with you and your loved ones. To those who just said yes - congratulations!! I’d love to hear your yes story below!

A reception table, the place where memories are shared, celebrations are held, and love is grown.
It’s also a holding place, for drinks and desserts, jackets and left behind shoes, a place of pause when the dancing gets too rowdy or the music gets too loud. A place of quiet conversation during the party. The place where a meal is shared across a room, where people cry during speeches or smile during dances. It’s one of my favorite places to watch.

What a cool moment I was able to grab of Ethan. He looked cool to the nth degree at his Erie wedding celebration, and the cigar smoke billowed around him like it was a paid extra after a few clicks from my end.

Grooms are just as important as brides, I’ll always crest magic for them too.
