LISTEN UP!!! Your engagement session should feel like a chapter in your story.

With M & A, we spent the afternoon roaming the streets of San Francisco, revisiting some of their favorite spots and letting the city become part of their story.

One thing I always encourage my couples to do is choose locations that mean something to them. The places you frequent, the streets you love, the little corners that hold memories. Those details bring a level of intimacy and authenticity to your photographs that no beautiful backdrop alone can recreate.

Because years from now, these images should remind you not just of what this season looked like, but what it felt like.

✨The art is knowing when to create and when to simply let a moment live✨

There’s an honor in documenting a wedding day that’s hard to put into words. Seeing light, feeling texture, anticipating moments, and creating art without interrupting the beauty of what’s naturally unfolding.

From the moment we stepped into Cathleen and John’s getting ready space, their kindness and tenderness were undeniable. Cat carried a calmness that set the tone for the entire room. And in that stillness, I found so much room to create.

To observe. To feel. To see beyond the obvious.

Because the most beautiful images aren’t always found. Sometimes, they’re intentionally envisioned and artfully directed.

It’s wedding day!! 🤍 And here’s my encouragement to my brides going into this next season: let’s have FUN with your details!

Your flat lay doesn’t have to look like everyone else’s. Bring the unexpected pieces. Play with color, texture, sentimental details, funky accessories, vintage finds, whatever feels like YOU.

Think outside the box and give me something fun to play with. I promise, I’ll take it from there 😉✨

Fun fact: with film, there’s no instant preview and every frame counts. Digital gives us precision, while film brings that unmistakable nostalgia.

✨Film doesn’t chase perfection // It holds onto feeling✨

The movement. The grain. The softness you can’t quite recreate. Imperfect, honest, alive.

There’s intention behind every frame. A limited number of exposures. No endless burst. No checking the back of the camera. Just slowing down, trusting the moment, and choosing what deserves to be preserved.

Developed with patience.

Proof that beautiful doesn’t have to be polished, just real enough to remember forever.

For me, film isn’t about recreating nostalgia or following a trend. It’s about creating something tangible. Something that feels different because it was made differently.

Made to outlive the trend.

✨CONGRATULATIONS NIKKI & RYAN!!✨

What a beautiful day celebrating these two at TPC Monterey at Pasadera Events Being a preferred vendor at one of my favorite venues will never get old!

Every time I’m here, I find something new to photograph. A different pocket of light, a new backdrop, another little corner that sparks an idea. It truly is a photographer’s playground.

And NIKKI!!! An absolute muse 😮‍💨🤌🏼 No matter what we were doing, this girl looked INCREDIBLE!!

I already have FOUR weddings here next year and I literally cannot wait to be back. And Karl, you already know!! One of the reasons this venue is so special. He has a way of making the entire experience feel personal, warm, and like you’re family the moment you arrive.

REHEARSAL ➡️ THE REAL THING!!✨🥂

Same walk, VERY different feeling!! 🤍

Here’s why I’m a huge fan of actually rehearsing these little moments before your wedding day.

Practice the walk.
Practice where you’ll stand.
Practice the kiss.
Practice what you’ll do immediately AFTER the kiss.
And yes…practice that walk back down the aisle together!

Not because your wedding should feel staged or overly produced. Quite the opposite! Rehearsing gives your body a chance to know what’s happening before all the adrenaline, nerves, happy tears and 100+ people staring at you kick in 😂 Think muscle memory, not choreography.

So when the REAL moment happens, you’re not wondering, “Wait, where do my hands go?!” You get to actually BE THERE!!

You just married your person. You said YES to an adventure of a lifetime. Kiss them, celebrate, and look at each other. Walk that aisle like you freaking DID IT!! 🥹🫶🏽

Something I’m noticing about my 2027 couples

They’re caring less about what a wedding is “supposed” to look like and more about what they want it to feel like.

Less performing. More presence.

Long dinners. Incredible food. Intentional fashion. Film. Movement. Flash. Private moments tucked into the timeline. More time actually enjoying the people they invited and less time disappearing for hours of photographs.

And as a photographer, I LOVE where weddings are headed.

Give me the beautiful details, absolutely. But give me your dad trying not to cry. Your best friend losing it during your vows. Your grandparents dancing. The ch*****ne spilling. The dress getting a little dirty. The photographs you didn’t even know I was taking.

Because twenty years from now, I don’t think you’ll care whether your wedding followed every trend of 2027.

You’ll care that you can still feel it.

My 2027 calendar is filling much faster than I anticipated, and it’s wild to say that I’ll be opening my books for 2028 before the end of this year.

If this is where weddings are headed, I’m so here for it!! 🤍✨

Camille & Sean’s dream day at the Legion of Honor 🤍✨

There was so much to love about this day, but it was the in-between moments that got me. Camille’s mom tearing up as she watched her daughter come down the aisle. Her closest girls surrounding and supporting her. Her dad laughing moments before the ceremony and those tight hugs during family formals.

And then the portraits 😭 Being surrounded by incredible art and architecture had every creative part of me LIT UP. We played, explored, and created some of my favorite frames together.

Camille & Sean, you two were an absolute dream to capture!

Already counting down until I’m back creating at this iconic San Francisco venue 🤍✨

I truly can’t believe the next 13 frames after the first photo are FILM!! 🎞️✨

I actually had to do a double take while putting this post together to make sure I wasn’t mixing up some of my digital shots with my film. The color payoff is INSANE. The tones, the skin, the depth…so good!
