This Mother’s Day will be my first without my mom.
Last spring, I lost my grandma—someone who loved so deeply it showed up in everything she did. If you ever had one of her cookies, you know exactly what I mean.
Then in the fall, I lost my mom to cancer. She was loving, strong, and full of life. And ever since she’s been gone, the world just feels… different.
Now, when my son says something funny, does something amazing, or shows just how kind he is, I still reach for my phone to call the one person who would’ve loved it most—my mom.
After she passed, we searched through so many photos to find one for her obituary. She never liked having her picture taken, so it wasn’t easy. But the photos we did find? They were her. Real, beautiful, full of love and laughter.
And that’s what matters.
Photos become more than images.
They become memories we can hold onto.
This Mother’s Day, I want to help you celebrate the moms in your life—their love, their strength, their story—so you have those moments to keep, for years to come.
