It's Fun Fact Friday! Did you know Michael Jackson and family visited Eufaula? Michael Jackson visited Eufaula, Alabama in 1979 during a family road trip with his brothers to visit his mother Katherine Jackson’s stepfather. Katherine Jackson grew up in the area (Barbour County/Eufaula) before moving to Indiana. During the 1979 trip—which was documented on home video and later featured in archival footage—Michael and his brothers explored local spots, stopped at a Salvation Army store, visited historic colonial homes, and toured the famous Shorter Mansion in downtown Eufaula, where Michael was filmed dancing on the steps.
