Another one from the garden. I think there must be at least 6 species of pollinator bees that visit the flower patch each day, and each species seems to have its own favorite species of flower.

If you have ever visited in the Spring or Fall, you will know that many mornings are . We are in a valley with the river running straight through the middle of the city, so fog covering the valley on a chilly morning is the norm. There are a few hills like though, which are just tall enough to get above the fog and make for an amazing view in the morning.

Look closely to find perspective. This fisherman is dwarfed by the size of the ocean and hills.

Wester Sandpipers (I think). They spend their days outrunning the ocean waves while looking for small crustaceans buried in the wet sand.

Sometimes, stopping for a moment and looking up is a good idea on a hike. It also occasionally pays to drag along your super telephoto lens, which may or may not have been the reason for stopping to take a breather. This was alongside Wychus Creek Trail, just outside of Sisters, Oregon.

The aptly named Broken Top Mountain outside of Bend Oregon, easily viewable while hiking around Todd Lake. Also, don’t believe everything you see in a photo; I decided that I wanted this to look more epic, so the midday sky has been replaced with a sunset. If the sun did ever set at this angle behind Broken Top, Earth would be in a lot of trouble (I was facing North when I took this image).
