Over the years, I pretty much always specialized in photographing high school senior girls. And then, last year, my son was a senior- so I found myself working with a lot more guys. Well, it’s literally been months since I’ve posted any of my senior sessions here. I wish I had a really great reason- but I’ve honestly just been slammed with work. When I entered into my senior season this past summer, I was coming off of a few months leave to recover from a sudden and unexpected loss in our family, followed by surgery for me. It felt like I was walking into my season already months behind. Since then, I’ve been juggling all the things, while having to just be okay with not being able to conquer it all. 💕

I’m so relieved to finally feel like things are slowing down. I’m also so very excited to finally start sharing some of the amazing seniors I had the opportunity to work with this year. Here’s the first of many posts to come of the beautiful, Makayla. Happy Senior Sunday!!

And just like that, you’re 19. Every year feels like it’s getting shorter, which is such a mom thing for me to say. But, it’s true. You are an amazing young man with the biggest heart, quick wit, golden smile, and the ability to conquer every obstacle you face. I am so lucky and blessed to be your mom (and Addi’s)!
