I love women. I love the persistence and confidence that comes with being a woman. I love women that are constantly fighting the uphill battle for equality and justice that’s exhaustive; yet it builds resilience.

But even more so, I love mamas. Especially single mamas—such a big part of our population that gets left behind, made to explain why their family dynamic doesn’t look stereotypical, and pressured by the constant evaluation from others.

DAMN, what resolve, determination, courage, and selflessness does it take to willingly embrace motherhood singlehandedly.

So today I have nothing but respect and appreciation for this sweetheart, Kelsey.
Let’s celebrate the life she’s given, and most importantly, let’s actively try to overflow with love for the all of the women around us.
